For design flexibility, the CyberPro 5300 Series of four devices adds to those features with combinations of Macro Vision, industry-standard encryption for copy protection, and an audio processor function that processes such audio formats as MP3, wavetable, MIDI, PCM, I2S and stereo audio. The 5300, for example, excludes both of those features. The 5305 adds Macro Vision without the audio processor. The 5350 includes the audio processor without Macro Vision. The 5355 has both the audio processor and Macro Vision features.

Part of the 5000 family of advanced streaming-media processors, the 5300 Series also is based on Tvia's proprietary CyberPro architecture. CyberPro delivers rich media content by processing multiple data streams simultaneously. This rich media content includes audio, video, voice, text, graphics, pictures and animation. Furthermore, CyberPro merges, reformats and unifies these disparate data streams into a single stream for storage, transmission and display. This unified stream has to be compliant with multiple input and output requirements including more than six output interfaces, four audio formats, 12 display formats and four display types.

The CyberPro architecture allows for a flexible and upgradeable solution. This is achieved through the Software component of the CyberPro product family, called ¡°Software Development Kit (SDK). System and applications developers as well as partners can utilize this SDK to enable and disable various features of the CyberPro family as well as enable different levels of performance of each of these features. Therefore, flexibility, upgradeability, which enables quick time to market and overall system cost reduction.
