3D Animation enhances a Video-On-Demand Set-Top Box

  Computex, Taipei, Taiwan. - June 5, 2001
- Tvia, Inc. (NASDAQ; TVIA) today announced that EPoX International, Inc. (EPoX) has chosen the CyberPro™ 5355 streaming media gateway processor as a key component in EPoX's Set-Top Box (STB) solution, the MVP3-H.
 
The MVP3-H STB enables end-to-end deployment of video-on-demand services targeting the Korean marketplace and ethnic Korean residents in the U.S. This next generation STB platform will deliver streaming media applications based on a media delivery box enhanced by advanced processing and display capabilities made possible by Tvia's streaming media gateway processor.

Tvia CyberPro™ 5355
  The CyberPro 5355 is intended for the design of Internet enabled devices , digital broadband set-top boxes and digital televisions. The CyberPro 5355 offers audio, video, enhanced text, graphics, and 2D and 3D animation processing engines. The CyberPro 5355 includes three video ports for the simultaneous processing of three rich media streams. It also features high quality audio and video for broadband television video, a hardware magnified view of Web pages on televisions, and a flexible transparency algorithm for blending multiple video, text, graphics, and animation streams.
