Applications Tvia Taps Metro Link As Software Development And Support Partner
 
  Santa Clara, Calif. and Fort Lauderdale, Florida, October 16, 2001 – Tvia, Inc., (NASDAQ: TVIA) has chosen Metro Media™, from Metro Link, Inc.'s (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) a multimedia software development platform to support Tvia's family of streaming media gateway processors (SMGPs)™ targeting interactive televisions and digital Set-Top boxes.
Metro Link specializes in video and MPEG digital convergence technology and provides standards-based, multimedia software for platforms supporting full function PVR (personal video recording) and MPEG 2 and 4 decoding.
 
Metro Link has developed drivers and provides integrated hardware support for Tvia's products and customers. Metro Link will also provide Tvia's customers with software development and porting services to multiple operating systems including Linux distributions from Lineo Embedix™, LynuxWorks BlueCat™ and Red Hat along with VxWorks™ and QNX™.
