TrueView 5700 Processors Are Shipping in Proton DT-27H and DT-32H 1080i HDTVs
SANTA CLARA, Calif., Dec. 16 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- New high-end 1080i HDTVs from Proton provide an outstanding visual experience, thanks in part to the sophisticated features of the TrueView(TM) digital display processor from Tvia, Inc., a leading provider of multimedia digital display processors for advanced TV, emerging digital display and consumer electronics markets. Tvia today announced Proton has integrated and is now shipping the Tvia TrueView 5700 processor in Proton's Pro-Flat DT-27H and DT-32H series of 1080i HDTVs worldwide. Proton selected the TrueView processor primarily for its extensive features, cost-to-performance ratio and state-of-the-art digital image enhancement technology.

Proton uses the full array of TrueView 5700 features to provide outstanding picture quality. Among the chip's industry-leading attributes are 3D noise reduction, advanced de-interlacing, advanced dithering, frame-rate conversion, advanced video enhancement, 3:2 pull down, DCTI/DLTI, vertical edge enhancement, SVM mode selection, high-accuracy motion estimation and pixel-based motion estimation using two-field buffers. Tvia's TrueView Video De-interlacing Processor automatically detects and can respond to noise thresholds and still images, resulting in a superior digital image.
